Many projects require a certain number of special inspections that are specified by code officials as well as the project designer. These inspections typically require an inspector with more specific knowledge and expertise than regular inspections, and can cover things such as soils, rebar placement, anchor bolt placement, structural steel welding, and suspended ceiling grids.
